Sheikh Hamdan Commissions Advanced Naval Vessel in Dubai

Dubai: In a major boost to the UAE’s naval defense capabilities, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, has officially commissioned the Al Emarat Corvette (P111), an advanced warship built to the highest international military standards.

A New Era for the UAE Navy

The commissioning ceremony was attended by:

  • Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs
  • Staff Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces
  • Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the addition of this state-of-the-art naval vessel strengthens the UAE’s defense and enhances its ability to safeguard national interests and coastline security.
